On July 9, 2005, Danny Way made history by becoming the first person to jump the Great Wall of China on a skateboard. This wasn't just another skateboarding trick—it was a statement that transcended sport, capturing the imagination of millions worldwide and forever changing the perception of what was possible on a skateboard.
The feat required Danny to launch off a specially-constructed Mega Ramp, soar 79 feet through the air over a 61-foot gap that spanned across the ancient wall, and land safely on another ramp on the opposite side. The gap itself was positioned at one of China's most iconic landmarks, adding enormous pressure and global significance to the attempt.
